If you could know one fact about every person you ever meet, what particular fact would you want it to be?  (Assume that the other person would not have to be aware that you know this fact about them.)

I'd want to know if they were truly happy with their lives.  A lot of people can throw you for a loop; you assume that everything is peachy because that's how they present themselves but behind closed doors, it's an entirely different story.
