CPQ #35

Suppose that income taxes still had to be paid, but instead of going to the government, your tax dollars would go to any cause or charity of your choice.  Assuming the money would have to go to the same place each year, where would you want it to go?

Definitely the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  These kids with life threatening illnesses still have so much ahead of them; they still have hopes and dreams and goals.  Once they become adults, society pushes them in the direction of "the norm" even if that's not what they want.  Adults begin to doubt themselves and think, "It was silly of me to wish for those things."  If these kids want to be astronauts, let them meet an astronaut!  If they want to be a pro wrestler, let them meet a pro wrestler!  Wishes need to be granted, not stepped on.

  1. You are adorable Ashlyn, I love this. I think that is the perfect place to send the money! I wanted to be an astronaut my whole life and it really is dreams like that that die when you grow up. That's so sweet.
